The Graduate Program in Biomedical Communications at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas provides a multi-disciplinary approach to preparing students for success in today's demanding industry. Our faculty are innovative leaders in their disciplines. Students learn foundational skills related to the craft, then specialize in digital illustration, application development or animation.

Living in Dallas, TX

The Dallas/ Fort Worth metroplex boasts a sophisticated big city style of living. DFW is a cultural center, rich in the arts, as well as a sports center for major league teams in football, baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer. The area has many recreational parks and opportunities to participate in outdoor sports all year round due to the mild winter weather. Dallas is a major fashion market center and has many exciting shopping malls, shops and boutiques. The affordable cost of living offers area residents a high quality of living for a relatively modest cost. For example, to equal a stipend of $26,000 in Dallas requires a stipend of $31,392 in Atlanta, $35,374 in Chicago, $35,697 in Boston, $41,061 in San Diego, $43,546 in Los Angeles, $46,016 in New York, $52,377 in San Francisco. Many trainees buy homes, cars and start families in the metroplex.
