	This Web site and research in the Boothman Laboratory are dedicate to two extra-ordinary women: Mrs. Shirley Boothman- who encouraged her nephew to enjoy nature, science and life. Mrs. Boothman died of Melanoma metastases in 1975. Mrs. Sarah Hildebrand- a breast cancer survivor, who was instrumental at raising funds, enthusiasm, and spirit for the laboratory at a time when much of the research was ideas. Her steadfast dedication to our research will never be forgotten. Research in the laboratory is also dedicated to the Virginia and Robert Payne Professorship in Oncology to D.A. Boothman
