Both South and North Campus Libraries have computers available for affiliated clients. If no UT Southwestern students, faculty, residents, staff, or affiliated clients (employees from Parkland Health & Hospital System, Children's Medical Center, UT Southwestern Austin Programs, UT Southwestern University Hospitals) are waiting to use the computers, guests are permitted to use them.
Software applications include Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft OneNote 2010, EndNote X6, MATLAB R2012a, SAS 9.2, SPSS 19, Sophos AntiVirus, Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat Reader and Acrobat Professional. Web browsers include the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
Resources available at both South and North Campus Libraries include PCs running on the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, CD/DVD burners, color scanners, and networked b/w laser printers. At the South Campus (main) Library; laptops and networked color laser printers are also available for use along with PCs. Wireless printing is also available in the Library for PCs. More information.
The computers are secured so that you may not save work to the hard drive. You will need to bring your own jump/flash drives, or CD-R/CD-RW/DVD-R/DVD-RW discs.
South Campus (main) Library computers are located on each floor, the majority on the Main Floor.
North Campus Branch Library computers are all located in the same area.
