The Academic Reserves collection includes items (e.g., required or recommended reading) that faculty have reserved for use by their students, as well as current USMLE review materials and core subject textbooks. These items are referred to as being “on reserve” and are located in the Academic Reserve Room (E2.400) on the Main Floor of the South Campus (main) Library.
Before asking for items on reserve, students should know either the title of the item or the name of the instructor or course coordinator who placed the item on reserve. Items taken from the Academic Reserve Room must be checked out at the Information Desk.
Items may be placed on reserve by completing the Academic Reserve Request form. Requests should be submitted at least one month before the item is needed on reserve, which will allow sufficient time for checked-out materials to be returned to the Library and/or for missing items to be located.
