Privileges at UT Southwestern Library
The Library serves the faculty, staff, and students of UT Southwestern and its affiliated hospitals (Parkland Health & Hospital System, University Hospital - Zale Lipshy, and University Hospital - St. Paul, Children's Medical Center, and UT Southwestern Austin Programs).
Library resources are selected to support the educational, scientific, and clinical missions of the campus. Use of Library resources is restricted to activities related to these missions.
We extend checkout privileges and off-campus access to the Ovid databases to the UT Southwestern community. Affiliated clients may apply for a Library card by completing the Library Card Application form. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Please allow 24 hours to process your application.
Checkout privileges are also extended selectively to members of the health care and educational community. The public may access the collection to conduct research regarding their health care. We extend checkout privileges and off-campus access to the Ovid databases to the UT Southwestern community, including affiliated hospitals. Check-out privileges are also extended selectively to members of the health care and educational community. Please see the chart below for identification we require, which is in addition to a picture ID. Please bring both sets of identification to the Library's Information Desks at the south or north campus. The public may access the collection and other resources within the Library to conduct research regarding their healthcare.
