Library Information Technology Manager (Software Systems Supervisor)

The UT Southwestern Medical Center Library seeks an experienced manager to lead its Information Technology Unit. Our library has a heterogeneous array of servers, microcomputers, software applications, and other technologies. Applicants should excel at advanced technology endeavors as well as interpersonal and collaborative endeavors. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of both external and internal customers. The responsibilities of this position include:

Managing technology personnel
Technology planning and acquisition
Hands-on server and microcomputer administration and management
Project planning

The ideal candidate must have 8 years of technical experience with at least three years experience in a technology management capacity. He or she must have expertise with Windows servers and networking technologies.

The preferred candidate will also have experience with:

Library and university environments
Windows XP & Vista
UNIX
Wireless technologies
SAN
RAID
Web and SharePoint servers

The salary minimum is $56,000 and is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. UT Southwestern Medical Center provides generous benefits and is an equal opportunity employer.
