The Library provides access to more than 49,000 electronic books (ebooks) within various biomedical, scientific, or more popular subject disciplines. However, currently there is no single, comprehensive list of all available ebooks. This page provides several options for locating ebooks
Library Catalog
Many of the Library’s ebooks can be found by searching the Library Catalog. If you know the name of the book you want, enter the title in the catalog search box and select "TITLE".
To search by subject, choose the "POWER SEARCH" tab on the right of the catalog screen. Enter one or more words in the subject box, and then choose "itemtype" under “Search Limits”. Use the dropdown box to scroll down to Electronic book and then click on "Search Catalog".
Electronic Journals (A-Z list)
A select number of ebook titles are now available through the Library’s Electronic Journals (A-Z list). Simply search for book titles exactly as you would for journals.
Library Web Site
Some of the Library’s more popular ebooks may be found by using the search box on this page. To search by keyword, enter one or more words. Results will include books
containing ALL keywords entered in the book title, description, or subject headings.

You may also search for ebooks within specific resources. NetLibrary contains a number of nonmedical books which cannot be found by searching the Library catalog.
Other
If you didn’t find what you needed, you may request a book through Interlibrary Loan.
If you think that the Library should acquire a copy of a title, you may make a collection recommendation. All requests are carefully reviewed and prioritized based on certain criteria. For an explanation of the criteria, please view more information about collection recommendations.
