No. You need to use the UTWPA2 wireless network.

I'm using Firefox Beta on an Android device connected via UTWPA2. I go to the Library web site and click on Electronic Books then eBooks on EBSCOhost. I get a "cannot connect to site" error. I get the same error with other Library resources.

When using Firefox Beta and connecting to UTWPA2 proxy settings must be defined in the browser setup. Even if proxy information was included in the UTWPA2 wi-fi setup, Firefox Beta will not use them. To get started downloading content from the EBSCO ebook collection, you will need to do the following:

  1. In the Firefox beta address box, type "about:config" and press Go.
  2. In the Search Settings box, type proxy and press the magnifying glass button.
  3. Scroll down to "network.proxy.http" and click Modify. Type "proxy.swmed.edu" and press OK.
  4. Scroll to "network.proxy.http_port" and click Modify. Type "3128" and press OK.
  5. Scroll to "network.proxy.type" and click Modify. Type "1" and press OK.
You should now be able to download ebooks on EBSCOhost.
Note: When not connected to utwpa2, the "network.proxy.type" must be set to "0".
