News/Highlights

• Mac User Update : EndNote X2 is now compatible with Word 2008. Please refer to the following EndNote links on Mac OS and Word compatibility, and then go to Information Resources's download page for the installation file.
  
  
• REMEMBER TO UPDATE YOUR FILES: EndNote continually updates and adds new output journal styles, filter files for reading database citation information, and connection files for communicating with databases such as PubMed, MEDLINE (Ovid), PsycINFO (Ovid), and Scopus.
  
  Click on the above links to review each file listing, and if necessary, download. The most recently changed are at the top. Checking these listings every six months is recommended.
  

• The Southwestern Graduate School Student Computing Committee has recently purchased site licenses for several professional software programs includingEndNote, SigmaPlot and GraphPad Prism. The licenses were acquired to enhance the training environment of graduate students and post-doctoral researchers and represent the most cost-effective approach to delivering this benefit. As a result, the programs are available at no charge to students, postdocs, faculty and staff.
