Promotes and establishes standards of excellence for all aspects of health care of individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI). Provides education on all aspects of SCI and its consequences and fosters research to prevent SCI, improve care, reduce consequent disability, and find a cure for both acute and chronic SCI.
