Link between depression, early stages of chronic kidney disease found by researchers.

Dr. Susan Hedayati presented her research that is sponsored in part by the UT Southwestern Kidney Research Core Center Pilot & Feasibility Grant Program at the American Society of Nephrology.

2007 & 2008 O'Brien P & F Recipient Dr. Susan Hedayati said that the Lack of Potassium is Linked to High Blood Pressure.

Dr. Susan Hedayati, assistant professor of internal medicine, has demonstrated that depressed patients undergoing dialysis are nearly twice as likely to be hospitalized or die within a year than those who are not depressed.
