Research Interests:
Cellular and molecular neuropathology of neurodegenerative disease, especially Alzheimer disease and related dementing disorders.
Specific topics currently under investigation include:
1) Assessment of the role of neocortical synapse loss in
    production of clinical cognitive impairment
2) The effects of genetic risk factors for Alzheimer disease on
    synapse integrity.
