Siegwart Research Group

At the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, the Siegwart Research Group uses a materials chemistry approach to tackle challenges in cancer therapy and diagnosis. We are currently focused on 1) the development of improved materials for effective siRNA and miRNA delivery to tumors; and 2) the discovery of "turn on" cancer imaging probes. Long-term, we aim to globally understand how the physical and chemical properties of materials affect interactions with biological systems in the context of improving cancer therapies.
