Please note this important information:

  1. UT Southwestern has negotiated discounts for first-year students for custom-configurable Dell and Apple computers (the "UT Southwestern Computer Package").
  2. If you plan to use financial aid to purchase a computer prior to the beginning of school, you must fill out a Purchase Agreement Form and return or fax it to the University Store, along with a printout of your configuration.   See details after clicking the "Buy" button below.
  3. We recommend ordering your "UT Southwestern computer package" by the 11th of July, preceding your entry to medical school.  This schedule will allow time to have the computer delivered prior to school and allow for transfer of your financial aid funds directly to the computer vendor.
  4. The financial aid purchase mechanism described in this site for purchase of a Dell or Apple computer is available only for students beginning their first year of medical school at UT Southwestern.
  5. The "UT Southwestern Computer Package" refers only to our negotiated discount arrangements with Dell and Apple computers.  We do not require any specific desktop or laptop configuration.
