Anmin was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan but spent most of her childhood in Singapore. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan. The primary focus of her research is to identify and characterize the phosphorylation sites on HIP1 and its relative HIP1-related. How these sites are involved in its interaction with EGFR family members and other oncogenes and how it regulates EGFR’s endocytosis are a few of the questions she is currently focused on. She is known in the lab for her ability to get things done whenever they need to be done. Her prior lab name “terminator” reflected that. However, due to circumstances beyond the laboratory (hints: governor, California), her name was changed.
