Research Statement
Angiogenesis has a major impact on the pathogenesis of retinal diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Angiogenic inhibitors have shown efficacy as a therapeutic solution. Combinational approaches to target multiple pathways may provide profound benefits in the treatment of these diseases. My lab is focused on deciphering how angiogenesis is regulated at transcriptional and post-trancriptional levels, with the goal of finding a therapeutic solution to vascular retinopathy.
